SWANA Managing MSW Collection
Systems Class Registration

The TN Chapter SWANA Conference will offer the Solid Waste Association of North America’s (SWANA) training preparation course for certification in Managing MSW Collection Systems.

Testing is separate and you can take the test online at SWANA after the class and you pay the testing fee. 

 

Training event dates are:
Monday, September 8th, 2025, through Tuesday, September 9th, 2025.

The class will be held in the TN River Room at the Marriott Hotel In Chattanooga, TN. The will start promptly at 8:00 a.m. E.D.T. until approximately 5:00 p.m. E.S.T. each day. There will be time allowed for breaks and lunch on your own. The certification exam for those interested and registered in advance will be online. There is an additional fee for the certification exam and additional SWANA membership fees.

Scholarships: 
There is a very limited number of training scholarships for this class.  If you are interested in receiving a scholarship, please send fill the form out below stating your desire to participate, the company you work for, and your need for a scholarship. Nonprofits, Cities, Counties, and 501C3 organizations only qualify for a scholarship.  

If you do not receive a scholarship, the class cost is $800.00. You can register for the class on the Conference registration page. The test is not included.

The TN Training Academy and TN SWANA will give priority to those with no previous professional certifications and then by date and time of request received on a first come first serve basis. Some agencies may restrict scholarships to require you to be a member.

If you receive a scholarship for this class, you must register for the TN Chapter SWANA conference separate if you plan to attend on the conference registration page. If you plan to attend the conference the fee is $500.00. TN Chapter SWANA is not liable for any payment for the test after you take this class. Please look up your own testing fees on the National SWANA website. ​
